Synopsis:
The choreographic work "The Word To Be" takes its title from the poem of the same name written by the surrealist poet André Breton and is the second part of the trilogy about surrealism that was raised for the grant of the National System of Creators; which in turn is part of an investigation - and somehow updated - of the working methods of the surrealists of the beginning of the last century. If in previous years it was worked from the image, in this year it has been done from the text. Creation of a choreography from the cited text, choosing the phrases that for us are the most eloquent. Some examples here:
I know despair in broad strokes. Desperation has no wings, it is not necessarily on a table served on a terrace, at sunset, at the edge of the sea. It is despair and not the return of a number of unimportant facts such as the seeds at nightfall leave one groove for another. It is not the moss on a rock or the drinking glass… .. A pearl necklace for which one would not know how to find a brooch and whose existence is not held in a thread, such despair. Let's not talk about the rest ... It is an overcrowding of trees that will once again make a forest, it is an overcrowding of stars that once again will make one day less, it is an overcrowding of days that once again will do my life.
Likewise, music has been created especially for the work and from a phrase similar to that of the structure of the choreography, that is, by selecting sections and resignifying them.
