Synopsis:
De Madera is the third part of the trilogy that received the National Creators System grant; and the fifth in a series of choreographic works based on surreal concepts, methods and images.
Wood relies visually on the metaphysical work of Chirico's surrealist painter and musically takes elements from Erik Satie.
More than telling a story, suggestive images and atmospheres are seen as Chririco's paintings suggest: Images of exaggerated perspectives, ominous shadows, mannequins that suggest different worlds to the human, few scenic elements but united in a way that generates strangeness; and yet they create their own story.
